Top 5 Tech Headlines: India’s Big Smartphone Win, Meta’s Smart Glasses Surge & Samsung’s Tesla Deal Shake Up the Market

The global tech scene is buzzing with big shifts, and India is stealing the spotlight. For the first time, India has surpassed China to become the top smartphone exporter to the U.S., thanks largely to Apple boosting iPhone production in India. With nearly $22 billion in exports, it's a huge win for the "Make in India" mission and a clear sign that India is becoming a global tech manufacturing leader.

Meanwhile, Meta’s Ray-Ban smart glasses are flying off shelves, with revenue tripling this year. Smart, stylish, and packed with AI features, they’re redefining how we wear tech.

On the chip front, Samsung just inked a $16.5 billion deal with Tesla, putting it ahead in the race for EV chip dominance. Intel, however, is struggling to keep pace.

In defense, Hyderabad is set to manufacture advanced V-BAT combat drones with U.S.-based Shield AI—a rare and powerful tech transfer to India’s soil.

But it’s not all good news: massive layoffs at TCS, Microsoft, and Intel highlight how AI is reshaping the workforce. The future is digital, but it’s demanding fast adaptation.

A lot’s changing fast—India’s rising, AI’s redefining, and tech is evolving.
